EWRB – Electrical Safety Refresher

Section 95 of the 1992 Electricity Act requires all registered electrical workers to hold a practicing licence to carry out prescribed electrical work. This licence must be renewed every two years (dependent on class), and involves passing a EWRB approved competence programme.

This 4 hour course covers both theoretical and practical assessments.  Electrical safety, testing to ensure safety and electron briefings are also covered.

From the beginning of 2018, all electrical workers are required to complete 2 e-Learning modules before attending an approved Board competency programme. These modules are designed to provide them with a baseline of understanding before they undertake the programme. The e-Learning modules are structured to ensure that electrical workers are confident with the purpose and context of their learning before they start the competency programme. The assessments in the modules provide an opportunity for electrical workers to check their own understanding.

You must show proof of your e-learning certificate before attending the EWRB Refresher Training Course.

You must wear full PPE and bring the Electricity Regs and SMEI's with you on course.
