T3 – Team Mate to Team Leader

MITA introduced the T3 course in 2017 in response to an identified gap in the industry – the career progression of a Line Mechanic (or Cable Jointer) can sometimes be seen as flat by both employers and employees.

The T3 was created to address the lack of Personal Development training for staff ready to move into a supervisory role. It provides an opportunity to progress within the Electricity Supply Industry, and ensures competent staff remain motivated and engaged within the company.

LeadershipThe 3-day course covers the:

  • Qualities of a good team leader/supervisor;
  • Key responsibilities of the role;
  • Skills in:
    • communication,
    • team/people management,
    • report writing/presentations; and
  • Time management.

MITA is able to tailor the course to your company with an overview of the company mission, values and strategic direction.

T4 – Team Leader to Team Supervisor

The T3 programme had a revamp in 2018, with a component for staff moving on to supervisor responsibilities added.

The new T4 – Team Leader to Team Supervisor will cover industry supervisory guidelines and hazard management, ensuring staff are qualified to manage a worksite and keep themselves, the team and the public safe as work is undertaken.
