MITA requires certain documents to be submitted prior to a trainee starting a course. These requirements will differ depending on the course that is being completed.

Employers will receive an email request from MITA several months before the course starts outlining the documents required. These documents should be sent in advance, rather than with the trainees on-course.

• Attestations – confirms that the trainee has the skills, attitude, knowledge and abilities to safely complete the tasks required on a unit standard.
• Observations – three instances of a task being completed to standard must be observed.
